Peter Browning

Peter Browning is completing his ESRC-funded PhD in Sociolinguistics at the Institute of Education, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. He is motivated by an interest in understanding the complex relationships between language, culture, and society; his research interests span the fields of language eduction, multilingualism, language policy, placemaking, migration, exile, and memory. As a researcher working towards social change, he sees his role as that of a storyteller. As such, he is moved to explore the limits and possibilities of narrative within and beyond academia.
