Ijaaz Jackaria is a Mauritian student pursuing an MSc in Comparative Education and International Development at the University of Edinburgh. He holds a BA in Philosophy at the University of Chicago with minors in Physics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilisations. His broad intellectual horizon encompasses cosmology, metaphysics, Islamic studies and sociocultural anthropology. His research interests within the field of comparative international education centre on southern epistemologies, epistemicide, postcolonialism and religious education which he explores through ethnographies and autoethnographies.
