Climate, Sustainability & Education

As the climate emergency accelerates, education systems face urgent questions about their role — both in equipping people to understand and respond to environmental change, and in confronting their own complicity in growth-oriented, extractive models of development. FreshEd has explored how climate change is entering curricula and policy, the promise and limits of “education for sustainable development,” degrowth and post-growth thinking, indigenous ecological knowledge, and the youth movements demanding climate justice from the institutions meant to educate them.
